World of Kawaii Gifts

Location Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.

World of  Kawaii covers such things as plush toys, stickers, memo pads letter sets, deco tapes, pens, pencils, erasers, key rings, phone straps, miniatures and so much more. There are some very well known brands that specialise in such as San X, Sanrio, Mind Wave, Kamio, Crux and more. Each brand has it's own characters.

I will also sell my own hand craft which includes felt plush toys, felt plush beaded jewellery, fimo miniatures, fimo jewellery which all has a touch of kawaii.

 My Reason for opening World of Kawaii Gifts comes from a very strong passion for making craft and collecting Kawaii.
I have always been making craft and that comes from my mum who was always doing crafty things around me since I was very young. My Parents also own a craft shop which only sold things hand made by my mother, and it's something I have always wanted to also do. I have qualifications as a pastry chef, but I felt it wasn't for filling what I really wanted to do, and was wasting my talent of craft and designing my own plushie patterns. I also feel that Tasmanians are really missing out on all the quality kawaii collectables and stationery which are not avaiable in Tasmania.

 

Over the past few years, I have had market stalls at Woodbridge, Snug, Glenorchy and last year I was lucky enough to have a stall at the Royal Hobart Show. My craft products have been popular, especially at the show and everyone asks where they can purchase my products so I now have a website!

I have had a very keen interest in kawaii ever since I was very young and my father brought home a lot of Hello Kitty items for me from Japan when he was a travel agent.

I always kept up with the kawaii trends on the internet and made a lot of friends with fellow kawaii collectors and shop owners within Australia and overseas, so I know first hand just how popular Japanese kawaii is in other countries!
